United Taps Weekly

Live weekly online tap lessons (45 minutes each) for beginners through intermediate-advanced level.

   Watch Promo

Join us for brand new 45 minute tap dance lessons at the beginner (some tap experience required*), adv-beginner, intermediate, and int-advanced levels each week! Lessons are offered live through Zoom (except for the int-advanced level) and then recorded versions are posted a few days later (ONLY Rod is seen in the recorded versions). Each recorded lesson remains visible for 4 weeks and includes written notes with counts.

Once you subscribe you'll have access to updated Zoom links for each class each week (the zoom links are inside each "tap class' inside teachable - you will not be sent zoom links). Below is the current schedule for the Zoom live classes (remember we record the lessons so you can always watch a recorded lesson if you can't catch the live one!):

3-3:45pm PST - Beginner (some tap experience required*)

4-4:45pm PST - Adv-Beginner

5-5:45pm PST - Intermediate

Not Live but Pre-Recorded (Watch Any Time) - Int-Advanced

Keep in mind that due to different lag times for video and audio limitations Rod will not be able to give individual feedback to participants. He will attempt to answer as many questions as he can via the chat feature in Zoom, however the primary focus of the classes is to get you tap dancing! Also there will occasionally be weeks with only recorded videos when Rod is sick or on vacation.

*If you've never tap danced before we strongly recommend you go through our beginner lesson series here: https://unitedtaps.com/tap-dance-lessons/beginner-lessons-1-to-12. That will teach you everything you need to know from the very beginning so you can enjoy our weekly beginner tap dance lessons.

“I debated for quite awhile about whether or not to sign up for the live classes because I had recently purchased all 4 levels of Rod’s classes—what more did I need? But then I noticed that he was offering a free trial, so I decided to give it a shot. Good decision! His live class is very different from the videos. For one thing, he doesn’t spend the time teaching new steps. Instead, he fine tunes some steps that he taught in the videos, and he gives pointers for how to do them more smoothly. Also, he shows how to add style to some of the steps. The combination in the lesson includes new ways to use steps that he taught in the videos. I’m happy to discover that the weekly classes have turned out to be a wonderful supplement to the video courses.”
